bioVibez LX-AC-R2A-Wifi – Ambient light / LUX sensor automatic switch is a dual output / channel micro-controlled dusk to dawn sensor with user configurable relay output. The sensor come with a wide ambient light detection range up to 2000 lux. The sensor can be configured using a web browser on mobile or laptop by accessing the sensor as Wifi-access point.
Microcontroller based - A microcontroller-based design gives more precise timeouts and digital control.
Device configuration - The sensor acts as an access point for a mobile or laptop to connect by selecting the sensor from Wifi list. Once connected the sensor configuration can be accessed using a browser. (url - config.bv)
Note - No internet or apps download needed.
Independent LUX Set point (LIGHT) control - Both channel outputs can be separately enabled / disabled for ambient light sensing. Enabling LUX control will make sure lights connected to the output do not come on, if there is enough ambient room lighting (i.e. ambient room light is greater than the LUX set point (cut-off) value). De-activating LUX control allows the output to be used for non-lighting applications such as operating exhaust fans which need to be operated irrespective of the ambient light conditions.
Flash rejection filter - Flash rejection filter is useful for filtering unwanted light flashes like a passing vehicle with high beam or lightning flash. This filter slows down the response of the sensor output to switch from 'ON' to 'OFF'. This prevents and unwanted ambient light conditions to interfere with sensor output.
Start delay - Start delay timeout delays the output from switching 'ON' the output. This feature is useful reject temporary cloudy conditions or minor fluctuating ambient light conditions for eg. around sun set or special requirements.
Early shutdown - Early shutdown is useful when it is not required to wait till sunrise for the lights connected to sensor output to switch 'OFF'.
Factory reset - Channel parameters can be individually reset to factory default settings. Also, ‘Reset all’ setting will reset all parameters of both channels to factory default.
Factory reset - Channel parameters can be individually reset to factory default settings. Also, ‘Reset all’ setting will reset all parameters of both channels to factory default.
Backup & restore configuration - Sensor configuration can be backed up or can be recalled to or from mobile / laptop. This feature is useful as a back-up. Also, for mass installations where many sensors need to be installed with same or similar settings. One sensor can be configured and backed up to mobile and the same configuration can be downloaded to other sensors, without having to set all the parameters individually.
SMPS - for standby power savings. The module is powered by a built in universal SMPS (switched mode power supply).
Why dual outputs? - Practical application like a toilet/bathroom, where lights need to be controlled with both motion and ambient light. But, at the same time exhaust fan which should be controlled with motion only. Dual outputs make it an ideal choice for using in toilets / urinals / bathrooms where one channel (PIR + LUX control enabled) controls the light/lights and second channel (PIR) operates the exhaust fan. When there is proper ambient lighting, the lights will remain ‘OFF’ but the exhaust will switch ‘ON’. This cannot be accomplished using a single channel output. Also, something like a porch light needs to come ‘ON’ at sundown – one of the channels can be configured to with LUX only.
Dynamic set lux point - Dynamic set point is captured after a delay, once channel relay switches ‘ON’. The dynamic set point includes the new ambient lux value of the light attached to the outputs. This prevents hunting or race condition.
Ceiling or wall mounted - The sensor has a universal mounting design which allows for wall and ceiling mounted.
Polycarbonate enclosure - Fire retardant grade polycarbonate enclosure ensures safety and rigidity. Polycarbonate is more durable than ABS, as it does not degrade or change colour with exposure to sunlight.
