bioVibez IRD-DC12-CH1 – wardrobe/door sensor is a compact device that uses invisible infrared light to detect when your wardrobe door opens and closes. It acts like a smart switch for your wardrobe light, automating the process for ultimate convenience and energy savings.
Light Up Your Wardrobe, Save Energy with bioVibez Sensors The sensor emits an infrared beam. When the door is closed, the beam bounces off the surface on the opposing door and returns to the sensor. When the door is opened, the beam is interrupted, and the sensor detects this change.
Ditch the Switch, Embrace Automation bioVibez IR wardrobe/door sensors offer a significant upgrade over traditional manual on/off push switches. Imagine never having to fumble for a switch in a dark wardrobe again. The sensor automates the entire process, providing:
Automatic Lights: bioVibez wardrobe/door sensors are commonly used to automatically turn on lights inside a wardrobe or cabinet when the door is opened, and turn them off when the door is closed. This provides convenience and saves energy. For example, imagine reaching for an outfit without fumbling for a light switch. The sensor detects the door opening and automatically turns on the wardrobe light, illuminating the contents for easy browsing. When you close the door, the light shuts off, eliminating unnecessary energy use.
Easy integration / Seamless Upgrade: bioVibez wardrobe/door sensors can be easily integrated in an existing setup, replacing a manual push-button. The wiring for the LED strip light typically connects directly to the sensor's output, eliminating the need for complex electrical modifications.
Peace of Mind: No more leaving wardrobe lights on unintentionally! The sensor ensures lights are only on when the door is open, reducing energy waste and potentially lowering your electricity bills. In case the door is not closed, the sensor will timeout in 3 minutes.
Simple Automation for a Smarter Home bioVibez wardrobe/door sensors are a breeze to install and require zero maintenance. They seamlessly integrate into your existing wardrobe setup, offering a touch of automation and significant energy savings.
bioVibez IR wardrobe/door sensors are a simple and effective way to enjoy the convenience of automatic lighting and the satisfaction of contributing to a more energy-efficient home and bring a touch of class to your living space.

Installation Guide
Sensor mounting / installation
Sensor mounting is simple and straight forward
Choose a mount location
where sensor will face no obstruction when wardrobe / cabinet door is opened
Infrared sensors should face the door
Wiring is accessible
Mount sensor using the 2 screws provided
Connect the supply wires to power supply (SMPS)
Connect the output wires to LED strip
Sensor operation / detection
The sensor employs reflective Infra-Red(IR) method. Pulses of Infra-Redare transmitted from the Infra-Red transmitter. If the door is closed the some of the Infra-Red light gets reflected and travels back towards the sensor. The Infra-Red receiver detects these pulses due to the obstruction in front of it and switches the LED strip / lamp 'OFF'.
If the door is open and no Infra-Red light is reflected back to the sensor, the sensor turns 'ON' the LED strip / lamp.
Notes-
A darker surface door will reduce the IR reflections, hence reducing sensor range.
To increase the range on a dark surface a lighter coloured patch / sticker and be used.
